I would like to inform you of the City of San Diego and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Scholarship, worth up to $2,000 for each recipient. I was hoping you could help spread the word to your students about this amazing opportunity. Not only does the recipient receive free money but we also treat them to a round of golf at a local golf course in the spring. If they do not golf, then it is fine because they will still be invited to the banquet at the golf course where they will receive their scholarship. We will invite all the engineering companies that helped fund the scholarships so that the recipients can mingle and network with them, too. The deadline to apply for this scholarship has been extended to February 28, 2018! Take advantage of this great opportunity! Please see the attached applications for high school and undergraduate candidates. The application may also be found posted on the American Council of Engineering Companies website. Good morning,

A major barrier to getting the job you want is the software technical interview. To help students overcome this, CodePath.org has introduced a rigorous new 12-week summer course: Advanced Interview Prep. At the end of the summer, their career team will help as many students get jobs as possible. Employment isn’t guaranteed, but they're committed to helping students for as long as it takes to get their first job.
They have 100 spots open and you can apply here. Early admissions ends March 31, 2018. Advanced Interview Prep is a 12-week course, run remotely over the summer, designed to prepare students to solve challenging algorithm problems in real interviews at top companies. The course also includes lectures, interview practice, industry mentors, and advanced info sessions from senior engineers. CodePath.org is a non-profit funded by companies like Facebook to help improve diversity in tech by providing semester-long courses. Visit ViaSat 2017 is an event that allows students graduating prior to Summer 2018 to visit our headquarters to learn more about the company and interview for full-time, New Grad – Software Engineering positions at ViaSat. This is an exclusive event and attendance will be limited.
The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, will be conducting on campus interviews at SDSU on Wednesday November 2, 2016.
