The Expanding Your Horizons Conference is looking for female mentors!  This year's theme is "Science Olympics" and will be held at USD on Saturday, March 2, 2013.  The EYH Conference provides hands-on exploration in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for girls in grades 6-10.  Mentors will be escorting girls to their workshops and helping them with their activities throughout the day while sharing positive experiences as a college student.  If you are interested in becoming a mentor for a day, please fill out the registration form here!  Please note that all mentors will be required to complete one of two training sessions prior to the conference at USD.  Application deadlines are Feb. 22, 2013 so sign up now!

Come join us Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 for the annual Evening with Industry!  This event will be held at USD from 4pm to 8pm.  This is a great opportunity to network with local companies, fellow engineering majors, and professionals in the field.  There will be a career fair, a keynote speaker, and raffle prizes!  Tickets can be purchased from the SWE president or any SWE officer.  For more information see the facebook page here.

9am: Weekly AESC Meeting. Come prepared with your report and keep us updated with your organizations!
1pm: Guest speaker affiliated with the USD School of Law. Speaking directly towards engineering majors and the many opportunities for a Law direction! E-423B.

Tuesday:
12pm: Resume Workshop. Come to the Resume Workshop to get some pointers on how to polish that resume of yours!

Wednesday:
Yogurtland Fundraiser! Bring all of your members and your friends as well!
2 points per member, with a 30 point max to get minimum points
Bring the most people and get 100 points bonus!! (Details Revealed in Meeting)

Thursday
11am-2pm: BBQ/Tabling. Come out and eat some Burgers and Dogs! Tabling event open to all organizations to bolster your membership!

The week long San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering culminates in Expo Day at Petco Park on Saturday, March 23, 2013 between 9:30AM - 5:30PM featuring hundreds of Science and Engineering booths.  SWE San Diego will be hosting a booth at the expo demonstrating the power of Simple Machines for families across San Diego County.  We are looking for volunteers who can work a 2 hour shift at our SWE booth!  If you are interested in volunteering please sign up here!

The 2013 Greater San Diego High School Science and Engineering Fair judging day on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11AM.  The fair is held at the Balboa Park Activity Center at 2145 Park Blvd.  Students from 7th through 12th grades will be displaying their projects proudly.  Judges will spend 2-3 hours during lunchtime talking to the students about their projects and ultimately select SWE-SD award winners.  If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up here.

Join us at our first general body meeting of the semester!  It will be held on Tuesday, February 19 at 3:30 in Aztec Mesa 113.  This is a great chance to meet the new members and officers of the semester as well as just getting together with everyone again.  There will be a guest speaker and free food!  Please RSVP here so we know how much food to provide.  See you there!
